How to back up with Synology Hyper Backup? Plug in an external hard drive, and accidentally deleted folders can be restored to last week's version
My cousin's Synology drive died and still didn't have backups. I had him buy a 2TB external hard drive and plug it in, using the built-in Hyper Backup for version backup: it automatically runs increments every early morning, save points are independent, and if files are accidentally deleted, you can revert to last week's or even last month's version. This is a skill that manually copying files to an external hard drive can't provide....
