My cousin wants to sell a two-yuan 2TB enterprise unit second-hand and asked if I could format it. Quick format simply removes the directory page, then the recovery software scans everything and returns it all. A mechanical drive only needs to write zero once, but a solid-state drive can't write zero and needs TRIM. I ran through both wiping methods the whole time....
