Upgrading Proxmox VE 7.2 to 9.1 does not have to be reinstalled, both the official and the community provide two ways to upgrade: directly use apt to upgrade (no need to reinstall the system) first back up the original virtual machine and container, then install the 9.1 ISO and then import the backed up virtual machine/container back to apt upgrade, you can't directly upgrade from 7.2 to 9.1 with a large span (Debian 11→13, kernel, virtualization suite are all replaced), the official upgrade article......
