Broadband installers always say that optical modems with WiFi mean you don't need to buy a router. Is that true? I tested a one-bedroom room in a colleague's house for a month of naked travel: the living room had 295Mbps and 300M broadband, half of the bedroom dropped, and the tenth device started disconnecting when connected.
