What does Router MTU mean? If you can't post WeChat images or some websites won't open no matter what, it's probably because the numbers aren't right
The router MTU is the maximum number of bytes a network packet can hold. Ethernet defaults to 1500, but dial-up internet requires 8 bytes, reducing the overhead to 1492. Typical symptoms of incorrect settings include instant text sending and spinning WeChat text, some websites failing to open, but everything else works fine. Using ping -f -l in three steps, you can measure the numbers you need to fill in at home....
