The living room speed test was 940 Mbps, but by the bedroom it was just over 200 km/h left, and the signal icon had only dropped one bar. After searching for half a night, I finally understood: the grid count is about whether you can hear it, while the internet speed is about whether you can hear clearly. The router and phone secretly switch QAM settings every few tens of milliseconds according to the bit error rate. Every 6dB difference in signal-to-noise ratio requires a step down.
