1. Hard Reset Recovery
Steps:
- locate the RESET hole on the back of the router
- press and hold the RESET key with a toothpick for 5 seconds until all the lights flash
- wait for the router to restart (about 2 minutes)
- reconfigure the router with 192.168.0.1
2. TFTP forces firmware flashing
Preparation:
- download the official firmware for the corresponding model (TP-Link official website)
- Set a static IP computer: 192.168.0.100
Steps:
- press and hold the RESET button while powering on for 10 seconds
- open the TFTP tool and enter the router IP (192.168.0.1)
- select the downloaded firmware file and click "Upload"
- wait for the progress bar to complete and the router will automatically restart
3. Contact official support
If the above methods are invalid, you can contact TP-Link customer service to apply for a rework
Notes:
- always keep the power stable when updating firmware
- only use firmware downloaded from official channels
- Back up router configuration before operation
