but one thing hasn't been lost, and it's crucial— your plan, broadband account, and the binding between the fiber modem and broadband are all with the carrier, and you can't touch the reset . So the ceiling for this is simply to "go through the registration and configuration process all over again," so it won't turn into a complete account closure and a new setup. Once you understand this, you won't panic.
First, let's look at the lights: LOS red, PON flashing, and PON always—which steps are they

LOS red light flashes wildly Cat is shouting, 'I don't know this network, and the internet doesn't know me.' If the registration information is gone, the bureau won't recognize it. Right after pressing Reset, it mostly stays stuck in this state, which is normal.
PON green light slowly flashing : It is shaking hands with the carrier's platform and re-entering the registration process. This is a good sign, indicating that both the circuit and optical modules are fine, except for certification.
PON green light stays on, LOS extinguished: registration successful, the bureau recognizes it. At this point, the internet is basically back.
my timeline that night: after reset, LOS flashed wildly for ten minutes, then switched to PON slow-flashing around the tenth minute. I was delighted, thinking it was about to work, but it flashed back to red. Later I found out it was because I was careless and lost the power once, which interrupted the registration process. So the first lesson: when the light is flashing, don't touch it.
the first way: do nothing, just give it half an hour
this is the most memorable passage in the entire piece. Telecom's optical modem has a mechanism: the ITMS platform (the system operators use for remote management) recognizes the serial number of the device itself, it won't be erased if reset. If you click 'Restore', the optical modem will automatically re-register with ITMS. Once the platform sees the serial number is on the list, it will re-upgrade the standard configuration for this broadband—LOID, internet VLAN, etc., fully automatic.
cost is time. That night, I actually waited about forty minutes for the PON to stay on. During that time, it automatically restarted twice, and each time the lights went out, they turned back on one by one. Don't worry, it's all part of the process. I asked a maintenance installer, and he said the fastest takes over ten minutes, while the slower takes several hours. Platform efficiency varies greatly across regions. keep the red light before taking action: Three steps to manually register a LOID
wait more than half an hour and still see a red LOS light, most likely your region is using LOID authentication. The registration credentials are stored locally on the optical modem, and once reset, no one will automatically fill them in for you. For this, you have to do it manually. Step
: Find the LOID. Three sources: the original broadband installation ticket (with a string of characters in the bottom right corner), the sticker on the back of the optical modem (some have a Logical ID), and if none existed, call 10,000, report the broadband account saying, "The optical modem has been restored and needs to be re-registered, requiring LOID." After verifying the identity, they will send you a text message.
Step two: Log in to the 192.168.2.1 backend. Check the sticker for your account. In the Telecom version, it's usually useradmin, not admin. Under the "System" or "Management" menu, find the entry points labeled "ONU Registration" and "LOID Registration."
Step 3: Enter the form and click Register, then continue waiting. The optical modem will restart once or twice, and PON will go from flashing to always. The first time I helped a friend, after submitting it there was no response for five minutes, I thought I had made a mistake, but the backend was still running. Give it ten minutes and it would light up automatically.
You Can Get Online, Don't Rush to Wrap Up: Bridging the Party's Aftermath
PON is always bright, the internet is connected, and ordinary families are settled here. But if you're like me and have gone through all this — changing the optical modem to bridge, dialing your own router, and even bringing in IPTV — a reset basically wipes out all your two years of homework, and there are still three things to clean up.

second item, switch back to bridging. After reset, the optical modem defaults to routing mode, dialing up, and your router is running a secondary NAT, causing chaos in NAS port forwarding and remote access. Bring the new super controller password into the backend, change the WAN connection back to bridge, copy the VLANs as before—if you're like me and later learned a bit and took a screenshot before switching to bridge, you can do it in five minutes; If you haven't taken a screenshot, check the about IPTV after bridging, which shows a clumsy way to identify VLANs.
third item: WiFi and IPTV. WiFi name should quickly revert to the original one. Don't settle for using the default ChinaNet name, or else you'll have to reconnect all the vacuums, cameras, and TVs in the house, which is even more workload than resetting the modem. When modifying, also check the separate settings for 2.4G and 5G to see if the dual-band integration automatically reverts again. Refer to the article on Tianyi Gateway band setting. three life-saving habits: don't pay tuition a second time
