Have you also encountered this situation: open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 and get "This site is not accessible" or jump directly to another page?
don't panic, there is a 90% chance that this problem is caused by:
- IP Address is incorrect – Your router is not 192.168.1 at all. 1
- the connection method is wrong - the wrong network port is connected or not connected
- occupied or reset – IP conflict or router reset
Solutions (in order of success rate)
Option 1: Check the manual or the label on the back of the router (success rate 95%, difficulty ⭐)
this is the easiest way. The login IP may be different for different models of TP-Link:
- Old Models: 192.168.1.1
- New Model: 192.168.0.1
- Part Model: tplinkwifi.net or tplinklogin.net
steps:
- flip out of the back or bottom of the router
- find the "Default Access Address" on the sticker
- try logging in with that address
- username and password are also on the sticker
Tips: If it is a fiber cat bridge mode, both the optical cat and the router are there, the optical cat may be 192.168.1.1, and the router is 192.168.1.2 or other IP.
Scenario 2: Use the command line to check the gateway (90% success rate, difficulty ⭐⭐)
the default gateway for your computer is the router IP.
Windows Procedure:
- press

Option 3: Reset the router (85% success rate, difficulty ⭐⭐⭐)
If none of the above methods work, the router may have been modified or malfunctioned.
Procedure:
- locate the small hole behind the router (labeled RESET)
- hold it down with a needle or toothpick
- hold for more than 10 seconds (see all the lights flashing)
- let go and wait for the router to restart in 1-2 minutes
- log in with the default address and account password on the sticker
Note: After reset, all configurations (WiFi name and password, dial-up account) will be cleared and need to be reset.

Sometimes the problem is with the connection:
- network cable is plugged into the wrong port - the LAN port and WAN port are plugged backwards
