When I checked 192.168.2.1, wow, there were more than a dozen online devices, two unfamiliar phones, and a TV box I hadn't seen before, hanging there for half a month. So, when checking for Rongwang, you need to check both levels: first log in to Tianyi Gateway, then log in to your own router. The vast majority of Tianyi gateway addresses are 192.168.2.1, with a few older models having 192.168.1.1. If you're unsure, connect your phone to its WiFi and enter the "gateway" in the WLAN details—if you can't tell which one is the optical modem and which is the router, just read my previous article comparing three devices disassembly. The tables show more details than the mobile app: device name, MAC address, whether it's connected to 2.4G or 5G, whether it's over WiFi or wired, how long you've been online, and the IP you use.

How to recognize unfamiliar devices: Three tricks to match the number and avoid accidentally harming your own home
the device list is full of English names; recognizing people is no easier than kicking them. My homemade method is three steps, done in two minutes:
first trick: countdown checklist . Disconnect all devices at home that can connect to WiFi: turn off WiFi on your phone, unplug the TV cable, and cut off the power on your smart speaker. second trick: check the device name and the top six MACs . Many device names in the list are phone models or system default names, such as "Xiaomi-13" and "HUAWEI-P40," which clearly indicate ownership. For those without names, check the MAC address. The first six digits (the first three groups separated by the colon) are the manufacturer code. Search for "MAC manufacturer lookup" to find out whether it's Xiaomi, Apple, or a TV box. The phone I used on the internet at home turned out to be an Honor phone, but I don't have a single Honor at home.
third tip: check the of online time and connection periods. Devices that use the internet often follow their schedules: no one during the day, online at seven or eight in the evening. The two devices I caught had all online records at night, which perfectly matched the time my broadband gets stuck at night. This timing is more accurate than anything else.
a quick reminder: when recognizing someone, don't forget those discreet devices at home: vacuum cleaners, door locks, cameras, TV boxes—these are the easiest to mistake for unfamiliar devices. On the first night, I almost blocked my mother-in-law's TV box, but luckily I asked first. I suffered on my first night: I clicked 'offline' on an unfamiliar device, and watching it disappear from the list made me quite proud. After five minutes, it refreshed and was back online. Their phone has a password, and if you disconnect, it automatically reconnects. Just kicking is basically a free kick.
"Disconnect/Disconnect" is a one-time : kick the device out of the current connection, keep the password unchanged, and the device can immediately reconnect. It's perfect for situations where your device lags and you want to reconnect.
"block/disable/add to blacklist" is the real solution: add the device's MAC to the blacklist, and the router will reject it immediately. In Tianyi Gateway, the device details or the operation button on the right side of the list are usually called "MAC filtering." Under the "Security" or "WiFi Settings" menu, paste the MAC you want to block into it and select "Disable" to save it for effect.
wait two minutes after the operation, try connecting with the blocked device (if possible). If it shows an incorrect password or can't connect, it works. For blacklisting, I suggest keeping it and not deleting it; if you delete it, it can be reconnected.
Password Change Ending: No Lock Change, Blocked Person Still Enters Next Time
blacklist only targets devices. If the person freeloading the internet still has your WiFi password, and they switch devices or modify their phone's random MAC (now phones default to random MAC, and the MAC changes every time they connect), the blacklist won't be blocked. So after kicking, you have to change the lock :
"Network" → "WLAN Network Configuration" (called "My WiFi" in the new version), change the wireless password to a mix of 10 letters and numbers. After the modification, remember to reconnect all your smart home devices—this is the cost, and you can't avoid it. lastly, there's a pitfall exclusive to telecom users that must be mentioned: you modify the configuration in the web backend, you might be pushed back telecom remote platform in the middle of the night. The ITMS platform still stores old templates; WiFi passwords revert to the original ones in the middle of the night, and the next day after freeloading the internet, they are online again. Don't doubt your life.
